Voici quelques infos concernant les artistes composant le “Randy Johnston Trio” qui participera cette année à célébrer la Fête de la Musique en Nouvelle Calédonie, à invitation de l’AMJ-BECA (Association des Musiciens de Jazz & Blues pour les Échanges et la Création Artistique). Randy Johnston est originaire de Detroit (Michigan USA), et est installé à New York depuis de nombreuses années.

Outre les deux opéras majeurs donnés à la Citadelle que sont le Barbier de Séville de Rossini et Tosca de Puccini, les quatre églises de Belle Ile accueilleront un concert de musique sacrée avec au programme cette année le Requiem Allemand de Brahms. Enfin, les concerts-cocktails et les masterclasses sont devenus une tradition et attirent de nombreux fidèles.

Joining him is John Pringle as his jaded sidekick Leporello, Kate Ladner as Donna Anna and Fiona Janes as feisty Donna Elvira. Tiffany Speight is Zerlina to Richard Anderson’s Masetto and, as the Commendatore, fellow New Zealander Jud ArthurTeddy Tahu Rhodes in his tracks. To conduct this masterpiece, Opera Australia welcomes Hungarian Imre Palló, making his debut with the company.
